ABOUT US

Farming is in our blood. Growing up, I knew that I wanted to be the 4th generation to operate in Gove County, Kansas. After high school, I enlisted in the United States Army planning on completing a 3-year enlistment and returning to the farm. Three years turned into 21 and I retired from the Army in 2013. My desire to farm was still there. My travels across the country and the world led me to believe that our current ag model was not sustainable and that we needed to adapt to a system that enabled us to make our farm a better place for our kids. After some research, and attending many seminars (including the Soil Health Academy), we began transitioning to adaptive grazing and regenerative practices. Holistic management in the simplest explanation is “returning to nature and the natural way of doing things.”
